Frequently asked questions

How do I cancel EzClean Premium?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not in the app. On your Mac, open the App Store, click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then Account Settings. Next to Subscriptions click Manage, choose EzClean Premium, and click Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends to avoid being charged for the next one. You keep Premium until the end of the period you already paid for. You can also use apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.

I paid but Premium isn't unlocked. How do I restore my purchase?

Make sure you are signed in to the App Store with the same Apple Account you used to buy. Then open the sheet in EzClean that shows the Premium plans and click Restore purchases at the bottom. The app checks your purchases with Apple; there is no separate EzClean account.

How do I get a refund?

Apple handles all payments and refunds, and we can't issue them ourselves. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com, signed in with the Apple Account that made the purchase.

Is Deep Scan safe? Will it delete something I need?

Scanning only reads and measures; it never deletes. Nothing is removed until you have reviewed the results and confirmed which items to clean. System locations and a list of protected folders are excluded, and each finding explains what removing it means (for example, that Xcode will rebuild a cache the next time you build).

Please note that items EzClean removes are deleted directly, not moved to the Trash. If you are unsure about an item, leave it unselected, and keep regular backups (such as Time Machine).

Does EzClean upload my files?

No. Scanning and cleaning happen on your Mac, and the contents and list of your files are never uploaded. The app does send some usage and diagnostic information; the Privacy Policy lists exactly what.
